The Middle East North Africa region boasts an IT market that at the end of this year should reach 9 billion dollars, posting a 7.13% growth compared with the 8 billion dollars a year ago and compared with 6.6 billion dollars in 2010, highlighting a trend of constant growth,” said G. Andrea Farina, President of the Itway Group.
The Middle East North Africa region groups together Countries (like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Oman) with GDP growth of over 7%. Also Lebanon, even though in the middle of two warring countries like Syria and Israel, will however see GDP growth of 3%. Other North African countries like Morocco are also undergoing a strong development while Tunisia and Egypt, despite the political and social turbulence, also have growing IT markets (12 million more mobile users per year). The constant investments in the area have under undergone a further acceleration due to the 2020 Expo in Dubai and the 2022 Soccer World Cup championship in Qatar.
