create the ‘made in Italy’ center of excellence
in IT security
Milan 12 October 2021 – SEAC SpA has completed the acquisition of 50% from Luca Tognana of BE INNOVA srl, a company specialized in the provision of cyber-security and risk management services throughout the Italian territory and owned for the remaining 50% by ITWAY (listed on the MTA of the Italian Stock Exchange).
The new strategic alliance between ITWAY and SEAC (specialized through Seac Security in cybersecurity solutions) significantly strengthens the offer of BE INNOVA, thus creating an Italian center of excellence in IT security.
Be Innova Srl is a company born in 2011 from an industrial project, conceived and led by the ITWAY Group, linked to cyber-security with a strong focus on safety in the e-health sector, thanks to specific skills in the health sector. Itway SpA, an Italian multinational, has been recognized as a company specialized in the Cybersecurity sector since 1996 and has designed and contributed to the creation, in recent decades, of the most important Italian SOC-Security Operation Centers, the first of which in 1998, for the most important Italian telecommunications company.
In the following years, Be Innova has invested heavily in the construction in Trento of a state-of-the-art NOC-SOC, in the creation of vertical and specific products in e-Health and has experienced continuous growth, becoming today a point of reference at a local level. and national. Be Innova Srl offers IT and OT security services, networking and monitoring through a Security Operation Center (SOC), a Network Operation Center (NOC), a Control Room that operates 24×7, and is structured to operate as a Computer Emergency Readiness Team (CERT ). According to the research of the dedicated Observatory of the Politecnico di Milano, in fact, the cyber-security market in 2021 in Italy reached the value of 1.37 billion euros (+ 4% compared to 2020) with over 40% of companies which increased the budget to ensure data protection. In 2020, the year of pandemic, lock-down and smart-working, cybersecurity reached the highest number of attacks ever recorded. The global damage has reached impressive figures comparable to the Italian GDP.
