Ravenna, 2 April 2020 – Itway SpA, a company listed on the MTA segment of Borsa Italiana, active in the IT, Cyber ​​Security and Artificial Intelligence (AI) sector, announces that it has presented, through its parent company Be Innova, to the Ministry of Innovation and Digitization, as part of the Telemedicine and Monitoring Systems for Contrast COVID-19 initiative, a new digital solution (APP) aimed at monitoring individual patients directly at their homes, able to quickly intercept any critical signals regarding the pandemic, and at the same time giving patients a greater sense of security and proximity to healthcare facilities.

The presentation of the digital solution with the addition of an APP was made possible thanks to the experience gained with the SMARTYS (Smart Monitoring & Archiving Remote TechnologY System) product, the result of huge investments started in 2014 and still underway, in the context of the most large ADAPT project (Accessible Data for Accessible Proto-Types in Social Sector) co-financed by MIUR, within the SMART CITIES AND COMMUNITIES AND SOCIAL INNOVATION programs, projects outlined to improve the services and quality of the communities in which we live and social innovation , thanks to technological research.

e-Health Data Governance: SMARTYS is a product that allows you to integrate the services provided by the National Health Service, by the welfare associations, by non-profit organizations and by private entities operating in the health sector, with continuous monitoring of patients directly at their own house, ensuring high Cyber ​​Security standards in communication and in the exchange of sensitive information. SMARTYS sales forecasts for the three-year period 2020-2022 will amount to approximately Euro 2 million.

SMARTYS is a product that allows the collection of data from sensors and devices installed in users’ homes, integrated with the medical records of patients held in hospital and care facilities. It is a decision support tool for the optimization of tele-assistance and tele-support services for patients (Digital Social Sensor – DSS) with modularity and interoperability of regional social-health files with the heterogeneous systems used by local authorities ; security and integration of critical emergency infrastructures and the provision of social and health services in 24/7/365 mode (CERT PAL);

The digital solution is composed of:

– wearable devices, equipped with non-invasive sensors, which can be used both at home and not, to collect position, movement, physiological and biomechanical data;

– App for the patient, and his family members, to provide useful information and collect additional data not available from the sensors;

– platform with data collection, analysis and processing functions with control and alarm systems used for integrated monitoring purposes.

For the information version of the App, identification is not required, while for the service version, the identification of patients takes place in compliance with the EU – GDPR.
